Match 1 - Well it’s the start of the new season… I mean the first challenger in the FIFA Challenge and Natalie goes for the English Premier League… Nat goes straight away for Manchester United after hovering over their City rivals… I choose the only team I could… and that was Liverpool… well the match started off slow with both of use trying to get our buttons right… and it wasn’t long till the game got interesting before Nat scored with Rooney after his shot was parried into the air only for him to header it into the back of the net!!! But it wasn’t long till I made it level after a good run by Torres I was able to cross it in to find Lucas… and he actually scored instead of making a meal of it like he would in real life… the half time whistle went soon after the equaliser… and in the second half it was end to end stuff… several chances created but nothing ever came from it… and in the dying minutes of the match the bruising tackles started to come in… but the whistle went before the ref could send anyone off… good close match!!! (½-½)
Match 2 – The next match Nat chooses the German Bundesliga league and picks Bayern Munich… after having a couple of teams in mind I decide on Hamburger SV… and the match starts off very evenly… but the tide changes when Guerrero picks up a yellow card and moments later a second… and off for an early shower he goes… with me down to ten men a switch off tactics is in order and the match starts once again… and it wasn’t long until Natalie managed to get a goal… Ribery crossed in a great ball from the corner for Badstuder to head it home… Hamburger SV never gave up the fight and fought tooth and nail to get back into the match… and were all over Bayern Munich in the second half and had a great chance to draw level Rudd the Donkey’s shot was parried and his follow up hit the side netting… I fought on but that never came to anything and the match ended one nil… a very frustrating match for me especially losing a man early on and fought I didn’t let Nat do a single thing in the second half!!!( ½-1½)
Match 3 – The next league that is chosen by Nat is the Spanish… and straight away I knew she would go for Barca and she does… while I go for Real Madrid… and this match wasn’t even close… I was all over Nat from the start of the match to the whistle at the end… the first goal was scored when Higuain went on a crazy run and crossed it in allowing Benzema to header it in… frustration was getting high for Nat and she lashed out in a moment of madness giving me a penalty which I converted with ease… with the match over I ended up scoring another goal after once again going on a great run with Higuain taking both centre defenders with me giving me space to roll the ball into KaKa so he could slot it away for the third and his second… a very good match… and I actually showed some signs of my old form in this game… bring on the next match!!! (1½-1½)
Match 4 – Serie A is up next and it’s the Milan derby at the San Siro… Nat goes with Inter while I’m AC… should be a cracker man… both teams look like they will be going all-out attack… and it was all very one sided at the start with AC having many chances… but they also controlled the game not allowing Inter any chances… half time came and went with no goals in sight… a few changes with AC bringing Seedoff on… and Inter change formations… and it seems to work straight away with Militos shot being saved for only Etto’o to slot in the rebound… but almost instantly Ibrahimovic is put through by Pirlo and he slots it time for the equaliser!!! Nat decides to bring fresh legs on and comedy fashion she subs a player who she just brought on wasting a sub… what an idiot… but the subs meant nothing as seconds later Ibrahimovic ran the defends out and made a nice pass to Pato who was unmarked in the middle of the box and placed it in the bottom left hand corner for the second!!! But there was nothing Nat could do but get really angry after the final whistle went… final score 2–1!!! (2½-1½)
Match 5 – Nat throws a wild card into mix by picking the English N Power Championship… she decides on Burnley and I go for Cardiff!!! And within five minutes she gets the first goal in a move similar to her Etto’o goal… but this time its ex scumbag Chris Eagles!!! Cardiff battled and battled but nothing they seemed to do would go back in the net… even in the second half Cardiff were all over them… but no matter what Cardiff and Craig Bellamy did nothing worked and they ended up still lost 1–0!!! (2½-2½)
